2018 Sorting Supremacy Design Competition Winner

Summary

As part of EGR102: Intro to Engineering Design, students created a robot using the Lego Mindstorms EV3 set. The goal was to pick up and sort as many of the items as possible in a limited time-span. The teams were broken into three sub-teams, Acquisition (pick up the items), Transport (move the items across a play field), and Sorting (sort the items into their respective bins). Teams got points for how many items they retrieved and a bonus for how many of each item was in the correct bin.


My Portion of the Project

I was a member of the Acquisition team. I was responsible for programming the robot to retrieve the items. I was also one of two people who did the major design and construction of our robot.
